When you create an account
- Your email address. This is used for logging in, notifications, and receipts.
- Payment information.
- If you pay with Stripe, we receive basic payment details such as transaction IDs. We do not see your full card number.
- If you pay with crypto, we only collect your email address.
Technical information
We receive basic technical information such as:
- Your IP address
- Your browser type
This helps us keep the site secure. These logs are deleted after about 10 days.
If you contact support
We keep your messages while we help you. Email support messages are deleted within 60 days after everything is resolved.
3. How we use your information
We use your information for the following purposes:
- To run your membership
- To process your payments
- To send required emails such as login emails and receipts
- To protect the site from abuse or security issues
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. How we protect your information
We use secure hosting, encryption, and standard security practices.
All communication with our site uses HTTPS.
Payment information is handled directly by Stripe. We do not store card numbers.
We are required to keep payment records for 7 years for tax purposes.
5. Services we rely on
We use a few trusted services to operate the membership site:
- Hetzner for hosting
- Cloudflare for security and caching
- Mailgun for sending emails
- Stripe for payment processing
These services only receive the information necessary for their function.
6. Cookies
We only use essential cookies. Most are needed for logging in and staying logged in.
We do not use analytics cookies or advertising cookies.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask to see what information we have about you.
You can ask us to update your information or delete your account.
To do this, email members@sideofburritos.com.
Deleting your account removes your membership and your stored data. Payment records must still be kept for tax reasons.
8. Children
This site is for adults who are 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes
If we make changes to this policy, we will update this page.
Continuing to use the site means that you accept the updated policy.
